PROCEDURES FOR 

ADJUNCT AND PART-TIME FACULTY SEARCHES

 

1.  Process a Faculty Search Authorization Form.

 

2.  Place advertisement in local newspaper.  All advertisements must contain the statement, “TCU is an EEO/AA Employer.”  Contact the office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs concerning payment procedures prior to placing an ad.

 

3.  The position must be posted with the TCU Human Resources office for a minimum of five (5) days.  Position announcements will be sent to H.R. by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs office.

 

4.  Notify local chapter of any appropriate professional organization(s).

 

5.  Request each applicant to complete a Voluntary Affirmative Action Information form (which is to be returned to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs).

 

6.  Complete the Faculty Search Applicant Summary form and forward to Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

 

7.  Submit Recommendation for Appointment through the appropriate dean to the

Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (use electronic process for recommending new adjunct faculty).
